The Czarniecka Góra – Sielpia Wielka bike trail is signposted in green, and a little over 50 kilometres long. It is a great trail for a long cycling trip. It is a recreational trail. It runs through forests in the valleys of the Czarna and Krasna Rivers, in large part through vast forests growing in the northern part of the Świętokrzyskie Province. It runs on empty, quite good, side roads and is perfect for trips with children.

The general route of the trail is as follows: Sielpia Wielka (0.0 km) - Kawęczyn (4.2 km) - Miedierza (5.3 km) - Przyłogi (11.6 km) – Komorów (19.1 km) - Serbinów (24.6 km) – Szałas (33.3 km) - Krasna (41.3 km) - Czarniecka Góra (52.3 km).

The route begins in the locality of Sielpia Wielka. It is the largest holiday resort in the Świętokrzyskie Province, located amidst vast pine forests on the Czarna River. The amenities include a 60-hectare artificial lake with a sandy beach, numerous tourist centres, water equipment rentals and many hiking and bike trails. In the 19th century, one of the largest industrial plants in the Old Polish Industrial Region operated here. Currently, it houses a museum of metallurgical technology, the Museum of the Old Polish Industrial Region. To this day, a huge metal drive wheel with a diameter of 8 metres and many unique machines and devices used for iron smelting and processing have been preserved. Sielpia is a local hub of tourist and bike trails, an excellent starting point for the area.

The trail runs along with the Green Velo trail going past a massive bicycle bridge on the artificial lake dam. Then it runs through the forests, to the south, to the villages of Kawęczyn and Miedzierza. From there, still through forests, it reaches the marshy meadows and arable fields on the hills in the Krasna River valley. The "Górna Krasna" Nature Reserve protects an extensive area of peat bogs and wetlands where several nature and educational paths have been marked out.

The trail follows a 20-kilometer loop around the upper part of the valley, closing it almost near the village of Krasna. This allows you to shorten the trail by this distance or return from Krasna to the starting point in case of a break in the weather or lack of fitness.

Further on, the trail runs again through forests, in the Krasna valley, to the village of Góra Czarniecka near the locality of Stąporkowo. Before the Second World War, it was a popular health resort. Currently, these traditions are continued by the Świętokrzyskie Rehabilitation Centre, and the village has preserved many quaint, pre-war, wooden houses. From the village of Czarniecka Góra to the starting point, you can go back along the blue trail through the town of Końskie (about 25 kilometres), or shorten the way, cycling through the forest paths in the Czarna River valley through the village of Piekło (10-15 kilometres). Such a loop is a great proposal for a long, all-day bike trip.

Points of interest along the trail:

  1. Sielpia Wielka - artificial lake, Museum of the Old Polish Industrial Region
  2. The Końskie Woods
  3. "Krasna River Valley” Nature Reserve
  4. Czarniecka Góra - a former health resort

The entire trail is suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail runs only on roads without road traffic or on local roads with a low and very low volume of traffic; no dangerous intersections. The trail is especially recommended for families with children and children's trailers. A recreational trail.
