The Art Exhibitions Office (BWA) in Kielce regularly holds exhibition activity in galleries and in cooperation with other galleries around Poland, as well as institutions for the promotion of culture in the region.
The BWA also occasionally organise exhibitions of foreign art in Kielce, and of local artists abroad. The gallery promotes the work of the most interesting artists of the local art community in and outside of Poland. For the past 25 years, we have held the “Przedwiośnie” art competition – a comprehensive review of the most valuable achievements in art in the region.
The BWA owns various art collections that are made available to the public at exhibitions in regional cultural centres. The BWA library has gathered books on culture and art. It also publishes catalogues of exhibitions and offers valuable works of art through its Sales Gallery. So far, the BWA in Kielce has held over 1800 contemporary art exhibitions (painting, graphic arts, drawing, sculpture, tapestry, ceramics and artistic photography).
