The trail, as the name suggests, runs through the areas of the Giełczewska Upland and has the shape of a loop more than 50 km long, with start and finish in the locality of Krzczonów. It is quite a difficult route due to the height differences (nearly 500 meters of ascents and descents, which gives the route an inclination of 1%). It runs mainly (90%) on local asphalt roads, without a lot of road traffic. The route is strongly exposed to weather conditions.

The general course of the trail is as follows: Krzczonów (0.0 km) - Bazar (11.6 km) - Orchowiec (20.0 km) - Gorzków (26.1 km) - Olchowiec (33.4 km) - Adamówka (42.5 km) - Krzczonów (52.4 km).

The trail requires being in good shape and sense of direction skills due to quite damaged and incomplete signposting. Its advantage is, however, the vast landscape of the Lublin Upland, part of which is the Giełczewska Upland, reaching over 300 meters above sea level from time to time. The trail runs along hill ridges, dominating the landscape of this agricultural land. The valleys of two small rivers, the Giełczewka and Żółkiewka, deeply indented into loess hills, are varied a great deal. The route twice intersects the first one of them and runs along the second one over a distance of about 7 kilometres.

The agricultural area through which the trail runs is the most beautiful in early summer, before the harvest. In good weather, a cyclist with the right being in good shape will be delighted with the tranquillity and picturesque nature of the area. Ranges of arable fields and orchards, rarely varied by forests, stretch over the wavy horizon. Grains have been cultivated here for centuries, and the loess soil gives exceptionally high yields. It is because of the landscape value and low population that the area is protected as the Krzczonów Landscape Park. In the locality of Krzczonów, from which the park gets its name, there is a very well-maintained Baroque church, renovated in the Art Nouveau style. In its vicinity there is a nice park, which is a good place to rest.

Points of interest along the trail:

  1. Krzczonów - church, park
  2. Landscapes of the Giełczewska Upland

The entire trail is suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail uses solely roads with no motor vehicle traffic allowed or local roads with a low and very low vehicle traffic; no dangerous intersections.  Trail offering outstanding vistas.
