MarkingThe Beaver Trail is a picturesque and not very long (28 km) cycle route, traversing the Janów Forests (Lasy Janowskie), to the west of Biłgoraj. The terrain is almost flat, devoid of any large hills. Yet, there is no monotony to speak about thanks to numerous sandy slopes. They are remnants of the excavation of sand and gravel sediments left here by the waters of the last ice age. There are actually old dunes, between which the route passes.
The general course of the trail is as follows: Korytków Duży (0.0 km) - Siedem Chałup (3.3 km) - Andrzejówka (13.6 km) - Majdan (14.7 km) - Korytków Duży (27.8 km).
The trail is well marked in red, and has the shape of a loop, using almost entirely forest roads. It starts and ends in the village of Korytków. Strongly recreational in nature, the route is not too difficult. However, to a large extent it follows very sandy paths and forest firebreaks, which makes it suitable only for cyclists on mountain bikes. On the trail, there are several information boards, but there are no designated rest areas. It’s best to take food and water with you, as the trail goes through sparsely populated areas. The biggest advantage of the route is its distance from civilisation and the fact of being surrounded almost all the time by pine forests. It is not monotonous, because the nature of the landscape along the way changes frequently. What attracts attention here is the variety of tree species and the beautiful undergrowth, interspersed with high clumps of grass and sand escarpments, exposing tree branches. In addition, the small villages which the trail crosses have plenty of preserved old wooden cottages. Roadside shrines and crosses also accompany the cyclist throughout the whole trip. This is an excellent recreational route, however, it requires being in good physical shape and, because of the sandy surface, it also requires bicycles with wide tires.

The entire trail is suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail uses solely roads with no motor vehicle traffic allowed or local roads with a low and very low vehicle traffic; no dangerous intersections. Recreational character. Trail for fans of mountain and off-road biking. Trail offering outstanding vistas.
