Dedicated to MTB lovers, this 23 km long trail runs through the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park, in the forests growing on the high hills that surround the Vistula Lagoon. Many climbs and descents, difficult terrain, dirt and gravel roads, as well as forest paths make it a trip idea for moderately experienced and beginner mountain bikers. The advantages of the trail include nice views and the fact that it goes entirely through forests. What makes it stand out from other bike paths is that it has been carefully thought through in terms of its route and character. The trail has also been very well marked. The blazes are painted green with the letters “MTB”. At intersections and sharp turns the marking has been doubled, so as to notice the turn even at high speeds. For safety reasons, the route has been marked in one direction only, and thus the ride from the starting point of the trail goes only to the south. Of course, the only type of bicycle recommended for this route is a mountain bike with wide tires and good shock absorbers.  The surface on the route is almost exclusively natural. Most of them are gravel roads, but there are also unpaved, forest paths. Sandy stretches can be a bit of a hurdle, especially going uphill. As the character of this type of trail promises, it aims to challenge the cyclist. The prize to take away are the vast views of the Vistula Lagoon and the Baltic Sea, seen from the hills.  The beginning and the end of the trail are located in the forest near the village of Kadyny. The locality is known for the Bażyński Oak. With an estimated age of 700 years, this natural monument is allegedly the oldest tree in Poland. Kadyny has a preserved old rural layout and a variety of monuments. You can see the former factory of majolica from the early 20th century, an 18th century Franciscan monastery and a large complex of buildings belonging to the former residence of the German Emperor Wilhelm II.  The artificial lake in Kadyny has a beach and an area for swimmers where you can relax after the MTB ride.

Points of interest along the trail:

  1. Kadyny - stables and farm buildings, Bażyński Oak
  2. Elbląg Upland Landscape Park - hills, ravines, beech forests, panoramic view of the Vistula Lagoon

Not all fragments of the trail are suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail is separated from vehicle traffic and only uses only safe bicycle crossings on public roads, separated bike paths and roads with no car traffic, dirt roads, forest paths, etc. Recreational character. Trail for fans of mountain and off-road biking.
