Roztocze is called a magical land – for a reason. This 26 km long trip with a wealth for attractions for kids will introduce you to this incredible world. The trip leads through Roztocze, called a “magical land”, and its trail abounds in attractions addressed to the youngest bike lovers. It starts in Krasnobród, near the local reservoir surrounded with a broad promenade. The initial section is also the biggest challenge on the trail. Right past Krasnobród, you must leave the cycling path and turn into the Święty Roch [Saint Roch] Reserve towards a legendary 17th-century shrine. Because of the steep elevation, this section is quite demanding and difficult to complete for less experienced cyclists. You can choose the second variant of the trip and bypass this fragment of the trail or complete it on foot. After reaching the famous shrine of St. Roch, you can walk around it several times or take a sip of water from the nearby spring – according to folk legends, this guarantees health and happiness. An educational path “Dinozaury” [Dinosaurs] with interesting facts about prehistory is available nearby to the youngest cyclists. The next section of the trail leads downhill through the hard-surfaced ground along the ravine to the Belfont Nature Reserve, where secret meetings of John III Sobieski and Marysieńka took place. The next part of the trip leads along the course of the Wieprz river. The next attraction on the trail is the historic water mill in Bondyrz and the small Museum of the Home Army with a collection of over 600 exhibits from the period of World War II. From there you must ride 3 km to reach Guciów – a small village picturesquely located on the Wieprz river. Once a medieval stronghold, it is currently the site of Zagroda Guciów [Guciów Enclosure] – an open-air ethnographic & natural museum with the best preserved complex of early medieval settlement in Poland. The last section of the trail leads back to Krasnobród. On the way, you can also watch a panorama stretching out from the observation tower and stop by the reservoir to rest on the beach and choose from a variety of leisure activities. In the town itself, it is worth visiting a parish museum, a chapel on the water, a birdhouse and a mini-zoo.
