The trail of the trip starts in Lidzbark Warmiński. Here it is worth seeing the medieval urban layout, the historic building arrangement of the market square with a 19th-century city hall, city walls with the High Gate and the Castle of Warmian Bishops – the most recognisable historic object of the city and one of the most valuable objects of this kind in Poland. The trail runs farther through the part of the Olsztyn Lakeland with an attractive landscape and the surroundings of Blanki and Symsar lakes, passing by valuable gems of architecture on the road. The first large-size place on the trail is Jarandowo. The trail leads to Jarandowo on the scenic section of the road through an uneven land. Jarandowo is a typical Warmian village, the history of which dates back to the 1st half of the 14th century. It is worth noting a 18th-century church with a red brick tower added in the 19th century. The next village on the trail – Kochanówka – is a similar place. It contains a large neo-Gothic church built in 1918, which replaced the former temple erected in the same spot. In the village, it is also worth noting roadside shrines – characteristic elements of the Warmian landscape. Approaching the Blanki village, you can watch a panorama of the lake of the same name from the trail. The water body of 450 ha in area is quite shallow, with its maximum depth reaching 8 m. As in the case of two previous villages, Blanki has a long history dating back to the 14th century. The small church situated on the slope of the elevation was built in the 15th century. Then the trail leads through the forest towards Symsar – another lake situated near the trail of the trip. On its shore, a large youth hostel Świteź is situated; there is also a beach and a resting place nearby. From there, on a short road section through the forest and then on a local asphalt road through Medyny, the trail leads back to Lidzbark Warmiński.

Trail option (19.5 km):

You can shorten the trip by turning past Kłębowo onto the yellow trail leading to the resort and the youth hostel on Lake Symsar.
