The red trail in the Lidzbark Warmiński Municipality is one of the bike trails marked out in this area. It is about 30 kilometres long and it loops around, running south of the city. It is a recreational trail and is well-signposted. It goes past an attractive landscape part of the Olsztyn Lake District, in the area of the Blanki and Symsar Lakes, going past valuable historical monuments along the way. The route runs mainly along asphalt roads, but here and there the surface is rather old and damaged. There are also dirt sections, which along with a fairly varied terrain require cyclist to be in good shape.

The general course of the trail is as follows: Lidzbark Warmiński, around the ski lift (0.0 km) - Kłębowo (4.5 km) - Jarandowo (7.4 km) - Kochanówka (11.9 km) - Blanki (19.4 km) - Symsar Lake (24.9 km) - Lidzbark Warmiński (31.9 km).

The trail starts and ends in Lidzbark Warmiński. The city was granted town privileges in 1308. From the mid-14th century to the end of the 18th century the city was the capital of Warmia region, being an important economic, cultural and religious centre. The city centre has a Medieval urban layout, city walls with a High Gate, historic buildings at the market, including the 19th-century town hall. The most widely recognized monument of the city is the Castle of the Bishops of Warmia - one of the most valuable monuments of this type in Poland.

The first more interesting place on the route is Jarandowo. The trail runs here through the hilly, picturesque terrain, a scenic section of the road. Jarandowo is a typical village of Warmia with a history dating back to the first half of the 14^th century. It is worthwhile paying attention to the 18th-century church with a red-brick tower, added in the 19^th century. Next on the route, the village of Kochanówka has a similar nature. There is a large neo-Gothic church from 1918, which replaced the previous temple standing on the same site. In the village it is also worth seeing the roadside shrines specific to the Warmia region.

Approaching the village of Blanki, you can see the panorama of the lake, which has the same name as the route. The area of the lake is 450 hectares, it is quite shallow, and its maximum depth reaches 8 m. Just like the two previous localities, Blanki has a long history dating back to the 14^th century. A small church situated on the hillside dates back to 15^th century.

Further down the forest path, the trail runs past Lake Symsar next to the route. A large youth hostel, Świteź, is located on its banks, and there is a beach and a place to rest nearby. From here, along a short stretch of road through the forest and then the local asphalt road through Medina, the route runs back to Lidzbark Warmiński.

The entire trail is suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail uses solely roads with no motor vehicle traffic allowed, or local roads with a low and very low vehicle traffic; no dangerous intersections. A recreational trail.
