This trip is an exceptional journey through the areas that once belonged to the greatest knighthood and aristocratic families of the Commonwealth. It is particularly worth mentioning the three attractions that try to remind us of forgotten stories of highborn persons. These are the palace and memorial to serfdom in Nozdrzec and the manor house in Izdebki. The trail runs mainly on bottoms of valleys. The trail starts near the Nozdrzec Commune Office, in the parking area beside which an information board is placed. Before starting your journey, you can visit the local cemetery and see one of the few graves of serfdom that have survived till today. Its history dates back to 1848, when serfdom in Galicia was abolished by the emperor. To celebrate this fact, peasants conducted symbolic funerals in villages. On the obelisk, there is an inscription: “As an eternal reminder of serfdom abolished in 1848.” In Nozdrzec, you can also see the historic palace of the Skrzyński family, which looks most imposing from the side of the San. The first section of the trail leads through Hłubno, passing by an interesting landslide with uncovered geological structures on the right. In Hłubno, you must turn left towards Brzozów. The next fragment of the trail runs uphill to the peak of the mountain range, from which a panorama of the land stretches out, and farther on an asphalt road through the forest to the Izdebki village. It is worth stopping here to watch the picturesquely located historic manor house of the Bukowski and Potocki families built in pseudo-Tyrolean style according to the design of the Kraków architect Tadeusz Stryjeński. The last section of the trail leads through Wara to the provincial road no. 835. At the crossroads, you must turn left towards Nozdrzec.

Trail option (29.5 km):

The trail leads from Nozdrzec through the ferry crossing on the San to Dąbrówka Starzeńska. In the village, there are ruins of a fortified mansion built in the 2nd half of the 16th century.  The castle rising over the valley of the San originally belonged to the magnate Kmita family that was well-known in this region; in successive centuries, it was taken over by Stadnicki, Ogiński and Starzeński families. According to sources, the fortress was fully used till 1939. Since World War II, the site gradually fell into ruin. Today only the remains of corner towers and the historic park have survived. Ferry service on the San is available from May to October, on working days from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.
